STERLING HTS, MI - The Sterling Heights Area Community Foundation will celebrate its 14th annual gala on Oct. 23, 2026, recognizing Chief Judge Stephen S. Sierawski for nearly three decades of judicial service to the community.
Sierawski, who serves as chief judge of the 41-A District Court, will receive the Mayor Richard J. Notte Civic Service Leadership Award during the “Puttin’ on the Ritz” gala at Villa Penna in Sterling Heights. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The chief judge has served Sterling Heights, Shelby Township and Macomb Township for 28 years.
“We are honored to recognize Chief Judge Sierawski for his exemplary leadership and decisions positively affecting community public safety, family stability and public trust in the legal system,” said Karl G. Oskoian, executive director and president emeritus of the Sterling Heights Area Community Foundation.
The foundation established the award in 2015 following the death of Sterling Heights Mayor Richard Notte.
The award honors community leaders who demonstrate traits and values similar to those of the late mayor.
