SterlingFest

Sterlingfest is a massive three-day annual community arts and music festival held every July at Dodge Park!  It began in 1983 as a three-day outdoor party called "Solid Gold Summerfest" before changing its name to Sterlingfest in 1991 when an arts and crafts fair was added. The event draws roughly 120,000 to 150,000 visitors over its 3-day run. Sterlingfest has grown into the city's signature cultural traditions, bringing residents and visitors each summer for art, music, food, and family entertainment. The festival blends a juried arts and crafts fair with live performances across multiple stages, children’s activities, local food vendors, and a lively community atmosphere. SHACF’s support helps sustain this long-standing celebration of creativity and connection, creating a place where people of all ages can experience the cultural energy and community pride of Sterling Heights

Music in the Park

For more than 50 years, Music in the Park has brought free live entertainment and summer tradition to Sterling Heights. Held on Thursday evenings at the Dodge Park Amphitheatre, the concert series features a lively mix of tribute acts, classic rock, country, Motown, party bands, and other crowd favorites. SHACF’s support helps sustain this accessible community experience, where residents can gather with family, friends, and neighbors for an evening of music in the heart of the City.

 Art Sculptures

SHACF has contributed to the funding a number of art sculptures placed throughout the community, including: Sarah's Heirloom at the Upton House, and Ring Around the Rosie at the city center.

Restoration of Upton House

The restoration of the historic Upton House preserves an important link to Sterling Heights’ early history. Built in 1866-67 by William and Sarah Aldrich Upton, the Victorian Italianate home is one of the City’s few remaining 19th century residences and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  SHACF’s support helps protect this treasured site so residents and future generations can experience the stories, architecture, and heritage of Sterling Heights.
